Many years ago, there once was a time when playing with rocket technology was innocent Performance Art.  I built numerous Rocket Launchers & Cannons that shot everything from light tubes to toy animals and Teddy Bears.

I once shot a Teddy Bear that went a whole city block.

There use to be an area in North Miami that was an industrial warehouse district that was mostly abandoned at the time and I performed many Rocket Launches into the sides of the abandoned buildings.  I knew things were coming to a close when I accidentally fired a 5 foot light tube through my studio and destroyed 3 paintings in the process.  I had to clean up glass and broken pieces for days.

Due to obvious reasons, I no longer do these launches!

I do not recommend that anyone try such experimental Performance Art today unless you live in the middle of  nowhere!  Escaping those crazy times without injury still amazes me.  Still, if each of us took out our aggression on light tubes and Teddy Bears instead of each other, the world would be a kinder place to live.
